Andy’s Strawberry Pie

a family favorite

  • 3 pints strawberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3½ tablespoons corn starch
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 (9 inch) baked pie shell
  1. Mash one pint of berries.
  2. Combine in saucepan one pint mashed berries, sugar, cornstarch and water. Cook until boiling, about two minutes.
  3. Cool and add the other two pints of berries which have been cut in half.
  4. Pour into one 9 inch baked pie shell.
  5. Chill and serve with whipped cream.
